Dampen a white cotton towel fold it in half and place it over the wax.

Cut the paper bag or paper towel to the size of the spill.
Start by placing a plastic bag of ice or an ice pack on top of the spot.
Rub gently to melt and remove some of the wax and then reposition the bag to soak up more wax.
There are generally two options when it comes to cleaning up candle wax.
You will need a hot iron 5 minutes of time paper preferably brown paper and a shot o.
Heat an iron to a medium setting with no steam and press the iron to the paper bag directly over the wax.

This is the easiest method for removing any solid stain from the carpet and it works especially great with candle wax.
Stop as soon as you begin to see wax seep into the paper.
Whichever method you choose will depend on your preference and what items you have to hand.
Run the iron over the paper keeping it in constant motion.
Get any remaining bits of wax or dye stains out of the rug with a commercial cleaning solution or rubbing alcohol.

Now onto the carpet cleaning.
The heat will draw the wax out of the carpet and into the towel.
If you end up melting your carpet you will have more to worry about than a little wax spilled on it.
Don t let the iron get too hot or it could melt the carpet or burn the paper.

Repeat until the wax is gone you may have to hold the iron in place for up to 30 seconds.

The paper should absorb the wax as it melts.
There is probably still some remaining wax that has now melted so scrape it away with the dull edge of the knife.
Next lay either a brown paper bag or a clean cloth directly over the affected area of your carpet.
Place more ice cubes on the spot to harden remaining wax and pry it up with the knife.
Using a warm iron slowly press the iron on top of the paper bag or cloth.
Change to a clean paper and repeat until you don t get any more up.
